PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open showcase which can be fixed ideally on the service counter of a shop. SOLUTION: An open showcase 1 is provided with a door 11 which openably closes the rear opening 9 of a display room 13, a top duct 51 which is formed above the display room 13 and the front end of which is communicating with a discharge opening 61 formed above the front opening 12 of the case 1, and a cooling chamber 17 which is formed below the display room 13 and the front end of which is communicating with a suction opening 29 formed below the front opening 12. The case 1 is also provided with a rear duct 41 formed in the door 11 in such a way that, when the door 11 closes the rear face of the display room 13, the upper end of the duct 41 is communicating with the rear end of the top duct 51 and the lower end of the duct 41 is communicating with the rear end of the cooling chamber 17. In addition, an air circulating means is positioned in a series of circulating duct constituted of the cooling chamber 17, rear duct 41, and top duct 51.
