PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an image pickup device without reducing the strength. SOLUTION: In the image pickup device 10 provided with a solid-state image pickup element 20, inner leads 23 provided on a flexible board 22 extended from this solid-state image pickup element 20, a printed circuit board 27 on which electronic components are mounted, and a signal cable 14, part of the inner leads 23 acting like reverse ends with respect to connection ends to the solid-state image pickup element 20 among the inner leads 23 is electrically connected to the printed circuit board 27 and at least part of the remaining inner leads 23 acting like the reverse ends is electrically connected to the signal cable 14.
