PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receptacle for allowing easy connection of an input-side coaxial cable. SOLUTION: A television receptacle has a retaining body 14 that holds an outside conductor of an input-side coaxial cable that acts as an input side in cooperation with an input terminal frame 12 on a rear face side of a cover 20. A central conductor of the coaxial cable is inserted into and connected to a contact spring 34. A coaxial connector 30 that acts as an output side is visible on the front face of the cover 20. The contact spring 34 is disposed on the rear-face side of the cover 20. A direction in which the central conductor of the coaxial cable is inserted into the contact spring 34 is made to coincide with an extended direction of the coaxial cable held between the input terminal frame 12 and the retaining body 14.
