PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that can prevent the generation of un-uniformity of cell thickness is reduced in un-evenness of brightness, colors, visual angle characteristics and the like due to the un-uniformity of the cell thickness and has a wide visual field angle characteristic excellent in display quality in the display region of the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with a part of substrates 10 and 20 and a liquid crystal layer 30 interposed between the pair of substrates 10 and 20. The one substrate 10 has a first polymer spacer bodies 13 and 14 and a second polymer spacer body 16 formed so as to form a laminated part with the first spacer body and a cylindrical protrusion 17 is formed on the laminated par of the second polymer spacer body 16.
