PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a recording and reproducing device, which records video of plural monitor cameras to display a time or counter value and a camera number in a saved space, so that they are easy for a user to understand. SOLUTION: A camera number display part, which displays camera number is provided in a 7-segment display part which displays at least one of the time and counter values, and a time and a counter value display mode (a) where at least one of the time and counter values are displayed, and a camera number display mode (b) where the camera number is displayed are switched according to a display mode.
