PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller for television receivers which can inexpensively mass-produced and to control a television device from a remote place by using an optical remote control having already been employed. SOLUTION: The remote controller for television receivers is provided with the optical remote control 1 that emits light modulated by a control signal, the television device 2 that is controlled by the optical remote control 1, television receivers 4 that are connected to the television device 2 via television signal transmission lines 3, a remote light receiving device 5 that is connected to the television signal transmission lines 3 interconnecting the television device 2 and the television receivers 4, and a light emitting device 6 that is connected to the television signal transmission lines 3 and emits light to an optical sensor 17 of the television device 2. The remote light receiving device 5 incorporates a light receiving element 10 and an amplifier 11 that amplifies a signal from the light receiving element 10 and provides an output of the amplified signal. When the optical remote control 1 emits a light, the remote light receiving device 5 converts the received light into an electric signal and outputs it to the television signal transmission lines 3, the light emitting device 6 emits light to the television device 2 to control the television device 2.
