PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-strength damping alloy which is enhanced in strength, improved in damping property, improved in damping property in a high temperature region, enhanced in the accuracy of precision instrument and capable of lowering vibration and noise of a machine tool and an architec tural machine, etc., and a producing method thereof. SOLUTION: This high-strength damping alloy is provided as an Mn-Cu-based high-strength damping alloy obtained by dispersing ferromagnetic particles such as borides into an Mn-Cu type base alloy.
