PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the useless consumption of photographic processing liquids, to reduce the cost required for the photographic processing liquids and to maintain the photographic processing liquids in respective processing tanks at desired conditions. SOLUTION: The development processing device 2 is provided with a development processing tank 28 consisting of the plural processing tanks 8, 9 and 10 for respectively separately storing plural kinds of the photographic processing liquids and a processing liquid replenishing mechanism 27 for respectively separately replenishing the plural processing tanks 8, 9 and 10 with plural kinds of the photographic processing liquids. The photographic processing machine is provided with an area calculating means which respectively detects the cumulative area of the photosensitive materials 3 intruded into the development processing tank 2 and subjected to processing and the cumulative area of the photosensitive materials 3 discharged from the development processing tank 28. The machine is provide with a processing liquid replenishing amount calculating section 30 for calculating the replenishing amount of the photographic processing liquids to the development processing tank 23 and a control section 31 for controlling the replenishing liquid replenishing mechanism 27 in accordance with the calculation results of the processing liquid replenishing mount calculating section 30.
