PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery which reduces an inner resistance owing to the use of a positive electrode plate whose electric resistance is less than a specified value, and to provide a method of producing the lithium secondary battery whose quality is made uniform by making an electrode while checking the distribution of a resistance part in the electrode plate. SOLUTION: A lithium secondary battery includes an electrode 1 which is made by winding or laminating a positive electrode plate 2 and a negative electrode plate 3 through a separator 4, wherein the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate are made by forming a layer of an electrode active material on the surface of a collector board. The lithium secondary battery uses a nonaqueous electrolytic solution. Lithium manganate having a cubic system spinel structure is used as a positive electrode active material. The positive electrode plate used has a specific resistance rho of the positive electrode material layer of not more than 500 Ω.cm in the thickness direction in the state not impregnated with the nonaqueous electrolytic solution. |
