摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide seal structure for a rotary vane type steering engine using a polymeric material seal of high reliability preventing the damage of a ring seal material by dispensing with putting pressure oil to the back face of the ring seal material. SOLUTION: A ring seal material 11 is formed of an elastic polymeric material into integral structure comprising a ring-like base part 11a and ring-like skirt parts 11b bifurcated to extend downward from the base part 11a. A seal face 11c of the ring seal material 11 is provided with a ring-like oil groove 11d, and the ring-like base part 11a is provided with the appropriate number of small communicating holes lie for communicating a space formed between the ring-like skirt parts 11b and the bottom face of an annular slit 10, with the oil groove 11d.
