PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling unit in which dust is prevented from being scattered into a refrigeration compartment and the need for an extra fan guard reinforcing a filter itself is eliminated. SOLUTION: The cooling unit comprises a cooler 7 contained in a fan casing 4, a fan 8 for supplying air to the cooler 7, an air inlet 12 made in the fan casing 4, and a filter 13 provided on the air inlet 12 side of the cooler 7. The filter is disposed oppositely to the fan while being supported by a supporting member 5. The supporting member 5 is provided, on the inside of the filter, with a holding part 5C for splitting the opening of the supporting member into a plurality of openings 5B, 5B,.... Chill produced through heat exchange with the cooler is delivered into a refrigeration compartment and sucked through each opening by means of the fan.
