PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demodulator for spread spectrum communication that can make a slope of an S-curve signal gentle without the need for intentionally degrading a C/N through the intentional intrusion of a noise component when the noise component is very small. SOLUTION: This spread spectrum receiver is provided with a DLL circuit 16. The DLL circuit 16 generates an S-curve signal and applies trace control to a phase of a PN code required to apply inverse processing to a spread signal on the basis of the S-curve signal. More concretely, the DLL circuit 16 continuously changes the slope of the S-curve signal in response to a correlation value equivalent to the C/N. For example, the C/N is high, the circuit 16 makes the slope of the S-curve signal gentle. Thus, the slope of the S-curve signal can almost be constant independently of the high or low C/N. Thus, the receiver can avoid disabled tracing and enhance the demodulation stability. |
