PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic equipment capable of improving packaging efficiency in a casing. SOLUTION: The portable electronic equipment is provided with a flat case 4 storing a circuit board 10 and a CD-ROM driving device 16 arranged in the case 4. The device 16 is provided with a disk storing part 27 for storing an optical disk 31 so as to be taken out, a disk driving part 28 arranged under the disk storing part 27 and having a shape smaller than the disk storing part 27 and a box-like casing 20 surrounding the disk storing part 27 and the disk driving part 28. The casing 20 has a recessed part 36 recessed so as to be engaged with a level difference 35 regulated by the lower face of the disk storing part 27 and the side face of the disk driving part 28 on a position corresponding to the level difference 35. The recessed part 36 is opened to the lower part and side part of the casing 20 in the case 4 and at least a part of a circuit board 10 exists in the recessed part 36.
