摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the decrease of effective throughput and also to reduce the discard rate of packet in the case a bit rate takes place in a communication apparatus used in a communication system utilizing a radio communication line. SOLUTION: This communication apparatus which transmits and receives data including user information to/from the opposite station through the radio communication line, also receives an acknowledgment packet from the opposite station to perform acknowledgment and limits a continuously transmissible data amount by a window size without the acknowledgment, is provided with a discard cause specifying means 32 which inputs a signal from a communication line and specifies the discard cause of data transmitted by the self-station on the basis of a signal transmitted by another station, and a window size controlling means 20 which changes controls over the window size between in the case of the congestion occurrence of the discard cause specified by the discard cause specifying means and in the case of the bit error occurrence when the discard of the data transmitted by the self-station is detected and makes the window size in the case of the bit error occurrence at least larger than that in the case of the congestion occurrence.</p>
