PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attention calling device capable of calling user's attention to visual information which may be often overlooked out of images displayed on a screen in accordance with personal characteristics, an image display device provided with the attention calling device and a recording medium recording an attention calling processing program. SOLUTION: An image input part 21 inputs an image displayed on a screen. An attention distribution preparation part 22 extracts the features of respective areas in the inputted image and prepares attention distribution on the basis of an attraction table TB. An inattention area analysis part 23 extracts an inattention area from the attention distribution, analyzes the extracted area and judges whether attention to the inattention area is to be called or not. An attention calling part 24 calls attention to the inattention area judged as an area to which attention is to be called.
