PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an automatic transmission capable of reducing a rotating speed of a motive power source at high speed travel time and capable of avoiding a busy shift. SOLUTION: In a control device of an automatic transmission changeable to an automatic mode for deciding the transmission ratio according to a travel state of a vehicle and a manual mode for setting the transmission ratio by artificial operation, a maximum speed ratio control means (a step 6) is provided for setting the smallest transmission ratio artificially selectable in the manual mode to a smaller value than the smallest transmission ratio set in the automatic mode. |
