PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the assembly work of a permanent magnet or the like. SOLUTION: This claw pole type rotating machine includes a rotor 100 and a stator 30. The rotor 100 includes a core 50 that is interlocked to a rotary shaft 40, a first magnetic pole body 70 that is provided in the core 50 and at the same time is equipped with first claws 74, a permanent magnet 63 that is provided between the core 50 and the first magnetic pole body 70, and a second magnetic pole body 80 that is adjacent to the core 50, is interlocked to the rotary shaft 40, and is equipped with second claws 84. A permanent magnet assembly 60 is provided between the core 50 and the first magnetic pole body 70. The permanent magnet assembly 60 is formed integrally by inside and outside protection cases 61 and 62 and permanent magnet 63 being fitted between both cases 61 and 62.
