PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a four-way switch device for serving four cross keytops with only one cross keytop. SOLUTION: A cross keytop 1 in an approximately cross shape is rotatably fitted at its keytop shaft 1a into a center hole 29 on an electric circuit board 2. There are eight switches 21-28 on the electric circuit board 2 at eight crossings formed by two straight line crossing each other through a center and large and small concentric circles around the center. When the cross sides of the cross keytop 1 are depressed, four pairs of two each of eight switches are operated, and if the cross keytop 1 is rotated in the four directions to depress the sides, total of 16 types of switch pairs are operated, realizing a four-way switch with four modes. In this way, small size, cost reduction, improved operation, and enhanced degree of freedom in shape and appearance design are achieved.
