PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify constitution of an internal structure and to prevent increase in the cost as a given damping function is provided as a hydraulic buffer. SOLUTION: A piston 3, constituting a hydraulic buffer, is energized to an oil camber R1 side on the expansion side through the force of a return spring 8 contained in an oil chamber R2 on the pressure side. Meawhile, a piston ring 7 is contained slidably in the slide direction of the piston 3 in an annular groove 3a formed in the outer periphery of the piston 3 and functions as a check valve on the pressure side. The annular groove 3a communicates with the oil chamber R1 on the expansion side via an orifice 3c formed in the piston 3 as the annular groove communicates with an oil chamber R2 on the compression side via an oil passage 3b formed in the piston 3. The base end of a rod body makes contact with the orifice in a manner to close the orifice 3c as a rod body 2 is inserted through the axis part of a reservoir tank 5 contained in a cylinder body 1.
