<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint for submarine CV cable in which a local increase in thermal resistance is prevented in the radial direction, a joint reinforcing part is prevented from being damaged at the end part due to concentration of stress at bending of a cable and a lead tube at the joint can be prevented from being damaged by fatigue due to conduction cycle during operation. SOLUTION: The joint for submarine CV cable comprises an extruded joint reinforcing part 13 covering the joint of cable conductors 2 and the vicinity thereof and having outside diameter larger than that of a cable reinforcing part 14 being connected with the end part of the joint reinforcing part at a gradient, a lead tube 7 covering the end part of the joint reinforcing part 13 and the cable reinforcing part 14, and a lead tube reinforcing layer 8 covering the lead tube 7, wherein a gradient relaxing part 15a is provided on the outer circumference at the end part of the joint reinforcing part 13 to relax its gradient.</p> |
