PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plane lighting device capable of freely adjusting a space between a hot-side socket and a cold-side socket after fixing a cold cathode tube and inserting an adjusting socket between the hot-side socket having an electric connection and the cold-side socket without connecting a lead directly to the light source cold cathode tube for a plane lighting device for easy mounting and replacement of the cold cathode tube and of reducing the number of parts. SOLUTION: The plane lighting device comprises a light guide plate 2, a light source (cold cathode tube) 3, a hot-side socket 4, a cold-side socket 5, an adjusting socket 6, a groove 7, a machine screw hole 8, a frame 9, a defect portion 9a, a reflector 10 and lead wires 11. |
