PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger where the assembly working efficiency of a packing and the sealing property with a case can be improved. SOLUTION: In the heat exchanger where a flange having a heat exchange medium introduction outlet is joined to the outer surface of a side tank via a flange stay while the heat exchanger is provided with the side tank having a heat exchange medium inlet and outlet, the outer shape of the flange stay has been formed so that the flange stay projects toward the outside from the outer periphery of the flange.
