SOLUTION: In a plasma display panel that a plurality of electrode pairs 7 for display are provided on one substrate, while a plurality of address electrodes 5 are arranged counterposed on the other substrate 1 so as to cross the electrode pairs 7, and the electrode pairs 7 and electrodes 5 have been covered with a dielectric layers 10, 2, electrostatic capacitance of the portion, where the electrode pairs 7 and address electrodes 5 cross and the dielectric layer 2 covers the latter or that of the portion and its neighborhood, is made larger than regions other than this.
