PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for refining the absorption liquid of an absorption-type refrigerating machine that does not cause the structure of the refrigerating machine to be complex, can be easily maintained, and can easily cope with miniaturization. SOLUTION: In the method for refining absorption liquid 11 of an absorption- type refrigerating machine 1, steam 12 being generated by the absorption liquid 11 is condensed by a heat exchanger 13, generation condensation liquid 14 is supplied into an absorber 15 and is brought into contact with a cooling pipe 16 where a refrigerant 17 is circulated in the absorber 15 for cooling the refrigerant 17 in the cooling pipe 16, at the same time steam being generated due to the contact with the cooling pipe 16 is absorbed by the absorption liquid 11 being shunted from an evaporator 10, and then the absorption liquid 19 that has absorbed steam is allowed to flow back to the evaporator 10. In the method, absorption liquid that has absorbed steam when periodically inspecting the absorption-type refrigerating machine is circulated to refining equipment 23 that is attached to the outside of a device body 1 of the absorption-type refrigerator while an ion exchange resin particle is filled.
