PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make efficiently detectable a false coin. SOLUTION: This device is composed of an irradiating means for irradiating one side of a coin inserted into the main body of the coin check device with light, a light receiving means for receiving the reflected light of radiated light, and a discriminating means for discriminating the truth/false of the coin inserted into the said main body of the coin check device by comparing the quantity of received light with the previously stored quantity of light of a true coin.
