PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary display device having light sources capable of aesthetically expressing dynamic changes and affording unique impression by ingeniously combining transparent colorful structures on a translucent body with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: The surface of a rotary display cylinder 10 having translucency is intermittently provided with colored layers 21 having translucency apart suitable intervals in the circumferential direction. Such rotary display cylinder 10 is rotated to enclose the light source 17, thereby, after-images are formed in colored portions by the light transmitted through intermittent blank parts 22 of the colored layers 21 having the translucency.
