PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication device capable of easily constructing a network and an underfloor wiring system to be used for the device in the case of changing the layout of a building such as a plant and an office. SOLUTION: The optical communication device 1 is provided with an underfloor wiring system 10 having an optical transmission line 41 arranged on the lower side of a floor surface 21 of a building as space for transmitting high directivity light L and executes cordless optical communication between both optical transmission terminals 2, 3 by using the system 10. Plural through holes H are previously pierced on the floor surface 21 so as to correspond to the upper positions of the transmission route of high directivity light L and the terminal 3 is installed by inserting it into any one of these through holes H. In the case of changing a layout, a network can be easily constructed only by selecting a through hole H corresponding to the arrangement position of a computer(PC) or the like on the new layout from the plural through holes H and installing the terminal 3. |
