PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer capable of evading noise mixture between an arithmetic unit and an input device and attaching a preparatory input member to the input device. SOLUTION: Each of the arithmetic unit and the input device is provided with a signal mixing circuit, a signal separation circuit and a balance signal circuit in order to prevent noise mixture. At the time of transmitting signals, two bi-directional signals are mixed into one bi-directional signal by the signal mixing circuit, the mixed bi-directional signal is separated into two unidirectional signals for transmission and reception by the signal separation circuit and the transmission signal is converted into a balance signal by the balance signal circuit and transmitted. On the input side, reverse conversion is executed by using the respective circuits. Thus a noise prevention effect is improved by using an optical signal conversion circuit and an optical cable. In the case of installing a preparatory input member, a connector is formed on the input device, and when the preparatory input member is attached to the connector, a switching circuit for switching input operation is prepared. The switching timing of the input operation may be limited to power supply start timing and reset timing in order to secure safety.
