PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the connecting strength of a connecting structure. SOLUTION: In the axial direction of substantial central part of a rivet body 10 formed in a wholly cylindrical hollow shaft, a plastic deformation control part 10C is formed over the entire thickness direction region. Practically, the rivet body 10 is made of metal, such as iron capable of being subjected to heat treatment and when subjected to heat treatment or induction hardening or the like, it is made more resistant to plastic deformation than the driving direction opposed end 10D and 10E. Namely, in the rivet body 10, the plastic deformation control part 10C in the center part in the shaft direction is made more resistant to deformation than the driving direction opposed end 10D and 10E.
