PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge capable of attaining both of torque generation and heat transmission and electronic equipment improving heat radiation performance by using the hinge. SOLUTION: A shaft 6 of the hinge connecting a body chassis 1 of a portable computer to a display part side chassis 2 of the computer so as to open/close these chasses 1, 2 has an insertion hole for inserting a heat transmission member in an axial direction, and the electronic equipment can discharge heat from the chassis 1 to the inside of the chassis 2 by inserting a heat pipe 8 thermally connected to a heat source into the insertion hole of the shaft 6.
