PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotoghraphic photoreceptor having superior photosensitivity characteristics, excellent in potential stability in repetitive use and using an electric charge transferring medium having good solubility in the solvent of a coating material used in the production of the electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer 4 comprising an electric charge generating layer 2 and an electric charge transferring layer 3 containing a compound selected from specific compounds having three or four triphenylamine structures which act as electric charge hopping sites in one molecule as an electric charge transferring medium on the electrically conductive substrate 1.
