<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer pipe contractive so as to be insertable into and detachable from a space between device parts, minimizing or eliminating the necessity of adjusting the space between the device parts while maintaining the standard of hygiene and cleanliness required for a processing system such as a food packing system. SOLUTION: This spacer pipe used between device parts arranged in the facing relation comprises a flexible sealing member having a body and a pair of flange seals arranged at both end parts of the body. The flange seals are engaged with the inward facing flanges of the device arts. A pair of ferrules are formed in such shape as to be engaged with one of the flange seals so as to be pressed to the flange of each device part to compress the flange seal. Each ferrule has a locking leg engaged with the flange seal, and a wedge part facing the locking leg. A tapered clamp is disposed between the ferrules and engaged with the ferrules to press them outward when tightened, thereby compressing the flange seal to the flange of each device part.</p> |
