PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a burden to a driving source by controlling capacity while maintaining high efficiency. SOLUTION: Spiral laps 11a, 12a of fixed and turning scrolls 11, 12 are made mutually eccentric, and are meshed with each other by shifting a phase. The turning scroll 12 is revolved and turned, first to third compression spaces 13-1, 14-1, 13-2, 14-2, 13-3, 14-3 formed between the respective spiral laps 11a, 12a are moved toward the center, and gas taken in from the suction side is sent out of a delivery port 15 via a high pressure chamber 17 formed in the center. A bypass hole 21 for communicating with the suction side is formed in an end plate 11b of the fixed scroll 11 on the outside by single rotation (2π) in the direction for separating from the center along a spiral from critical points (a, b) for finally contacting with the inside end of the respective spiral laps 11a, 12a for contacting with the opposed spiral laps 11a, 12a.
