PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct speed-up and cost reduction in manufacturing metal partitions with a high opening rate and full insulation for providing an image display unit with a high performance and reliability. SOLUTION: Manufacturing method for metal partitions for image display unit that forms oxide insulating layer on a metal substrate for partition having many through-holes with an open-air type chemical gas-phase deposition method.
