PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of a conventional mobile wireless communication system where an external device such as a train position detector is required for communication switching with a base station on a track and transmission of a base station with the same transmission frequency is not started so long as control by the train position detector is not conducted when a base station interrupts the transmission due to a fault of the base station. SOLUTION: As a mobile station 5 moves on a track, the transmission switching is controlled so that the transmission with the same transmission frequency of a base station closest to the mobile station 5 is stopped and a subordinate base station at the downstream in the moving direction from the base station closest to the mobile station 5 is started so that two base stations make transmission with transmission frequencies f1, f2 to the mobile station 5 at all times. The mobile station 5 repeats data transmission with a transmission frequency f0 to the two base stations. Base stations 3, 4 monitor transmission outputs of host base stations 1, 2 to make automatic transmission in the case that the equipment of the base stations 1, 2 are faulty.
