PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device whose assembling work is easy and also whose cost is low without impairing reliability. SOLUTION: This display device is constituted of a selection circuit 170 in which gate line driving circuits 150 are directly formed on a substrate and a signal line driving circuit part 160 is directly formed on the substrate and ICs 511 for driving signal lines mounted on TCPs 500 (tape carrier packages)-N. An external circuit substrate is made to be constitution of only one sheet of a PCB(printed circuit board) 600 for driving signal lines by integrally forming the gate line driving circuits 150 on the array substrate 100 of a liquid crystal panel 10. The PCB 600 is connected to the array substrate 100 with the TCPs 500-N having slits 500S for bending. The PCB 600 is arranged at the rear side of the surface light source part 700 arranged at the back of the liquid crystal panel 10 by bent TCPs 500-N.
