PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup that facilitates rotary adjustment of the position of an optical unit for a supporting body when the pickup is attached to the supporting body. SOLUTION: The optical pickup is provided with an optical unit having an optical system consisting of a first optical axis and the main body having a second optical system consisting of a second optical axis which is optically connected to the first optical axis with the optical unit mounted. The main body supports the optical unit rotatably around the first optical axis, while the optical unit is inserted in a recess. The main body also has a movement regulating part, by which the first optical axis itself is suppressed in moving beyond an allowable range at the time of rotation of the optical unit.
