PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silver halide color photographic sensitive material which gives a fine-grained beautiful printed image while maintaining high productivity in the case of exposure on the basis of digital information and also gives a beautiful printed image independently of a change in processing conditions and to provide an image forming method. SOLUTION: The silver halide color photographic sensitive material has at least one yellow image forming layer, at least one magenta image forming layer and at least one cyan image forming layer each containing at least photosensitive silver halide on the substrate. The photosensitive silver halide contained in each of the image forming layers has been color-sensitized in such a way that the coverage of a sensitizing dye ranges from 5% to 40%.
