PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing apparatus containing a set of nozzle housings each having a plurality of gas ejecting areas which are repositioned successive for selective adaptation. SOLUTION: A sheet processing apparatus is provided with a set of nozzle housings 8 comprising nozzle housings 3, 4 both extending in the direction transverse to the path R of the sheet, and ducts 6, 7 for fluidly communicating the nozzle housings 3, 4 with a gas generator 5. In the sheet processing apparatus, the interior portions 8 of a nozzle housings 3, 4 are divided into a plurality of sections 3a and a plurality of sections 4a respectively along the direction transverse to the path R of the sheet, and each section 3a within the nozzle housing 3 and each section 4a within the nozzle housing 4 are coupled to the common gas generator 5 through respective manifolds 6a and 7a, each having a plurality of dampers 9 corresponding to the sections 3a and 4a.
