PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surging avoiding system for avoiding surging in a turbomachine such as a compressor and a fan. SOLUTION: A pressure converter 2 for detecting pressure in a casing 1 of an axial compressor is installed in the casing 1. This surging avoiding system is provided with a DC amplifier 5 for taking out the fluctuation quantity by amplifying pressure detected by this pressure converter 2 and an AC/DC converter 6 for converting output of this DC amplifier 5 into DC voltage. When output of this AC/DC converter 6 reaches a predetermined value, a control relay 7 is actuated to automatically perform surging avoiding operation such as stopping the axial compressor or operating a blowoff valve.
