The drive transmission for a load handling truck has an internal combustion engine (1) with a power take off (14) with an input connected to the engine and the outputs are connected to a main shaft (15) and a secondary shaft (16a) which have a set speed ratio. A control regulator (2) in the secondary shaft has a central control with the inputs connected to the main shaft and the secondary shaft. A ratio corrector (13) is connected by its input to the central control output and its output is connected to the drive output shaft.
