PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital television receiver that displays the accurate time. SOLUTION: Before inputting time information in a received digital broadcast wave to a buffer, a time information decoder 16 decodes only time information earlier and then a mixer 14 synthesizes it with a video signal and the synthesize signal is displayed. Since this means is used to process the time information earlier than the processing of a video/audio signal, it is possible to minimize the processing time resulting in minimizing a delay time required for the processing thereby displaying more accurate time information.
