MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR DISCHARGE-TYPE FLAT DISPLAY UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide method of manufacturing discharge-type flat display unit that can reduce breakdown voltage without significantly increasing the manufacturing process and further excels in uniformity of brightness within the plane. SOLUTION: PDP(discharge-type planar display device) 1 is manufactured through a process of painting resist that shows adhesion by UV irradiation on the wall of discharge chamber formed by partitions and facing substrate, and another process for dividing the resist into two parts showing adhesion and non-adhesion by selectively radiating UV-rays, by means of a shading member on which a pattern with a prescribed shape has been formed.
