PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly accurate sensor for reducing the linear error of output from a magnetic sensitive element accompanying the rotation of a magnetic generation body and simplifying the constitution of a magnetic circuit suitable for use in an automobile, in a non-contact type position sensor for detecting a rotary displacement position and a linear displacement position. SOLUTION: The magnetic generation body 1 arranged on a rotary shaft 8 rotated in response to a rotating operation from the outside and magnetized in a vertical direction to the rotary shaft 8 is surrounded by a first yoke 2a and a second yoke 2b through an air gap 7, in a direction orthogonal to the rotary shaft 8 and housed rotatably around the inner periphery of the yoke. The magnetic sensitive element 4 is arranged in a first gap 3a opposedly formed under the first yoke 2a and the second yoke 2b parallelly formed on a first plane passing through the rotary shaft 8, and a magnetic body 5 for constituting a magnetic bypass means under a second gap 6 smaller than the first gap 3a is arranged near the first gap 3a.
