PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for mounting a press-fitted terminal for avoiding interference between a terminal and an electric wire caused in a press-fitting process and for allowing continuous press-fitting operations with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A apparatus for mounting a press-fitted terminal transfers a press-fitted terminal 4 along a transfer passage 2. In the transfer process press-fitted terminals 4 are sequentially positioned in a specified press-fitted position. A crimper 24 is fixed and disposed below the press-fitted position. A electric wire such as a flat cable is fed onto the crimper 24. An elevating slider 16 descends through the operation of a pressure fitting press and then a feed claw 80 transfers the press-fitted terminal 4. A center anvil 26 is then lowered to press the press-fitted terminal 4 against the anvil 24 at the press-fitting position. In the descending process, the center anvil 26 separates the press-fitting terminal 4 from a terminal carrier 6. The pressure-fitted terminal 4 separated is held by a pair of right and left side anvils 28. Therefore, the pressure-fitted terminal 4 is beaten against an electric wire while kept in an initial position thereof and then pressure fit (caulked) into the electric wire at terminal barrel thereof.
