<p>Disclosed is a hair conditioning composition comprising by weight: (a) from about 0.1 % to about 5 % of a hydrophobically modified cationic cellulose having formula (1): wherein R1 is an alkyl having from about 8 to about 22 carbons, n is an integer from 1 to about 2000; x is 0 or an integer from 1 to about 6; y is the level of cationic substitution from 0.1 to 1.0; and having a molecular weight of no more than about 1,000,000; (b) from about 0.01 % to about 20 % of a conditioning agent; and (c) an aqueous carrier, wherein the hair conditioning composition increases bulk hair volume by a Volume Index of 20 or greater as measured by Instron Volume Measurement Method.</p> |
