The drilling tool has a shaft (1) and drilling head (2) which has a socket area (3) for holding the cutting plate (5) and two opposing guide areas (4) which have a guide section (41) which extends parallel to the drilling direction and is mounted off-set by 90 degrees relative to the socket area in the circumferential direction of the drilling head. The guide areas have a support section (42) adjoining the guide section away from the drilling direction and extending over a part of the circumference of the drilling head.
