<p>A surface acoustic wave device comprising a surface acoustic wave transducer that has a positive electrode finger (102) and a negative electrode finger (204) formed on a langasite monocrystalline substrate such that the substrate orientation and the surface acoustic wave propagation direction are so selected that the substrate has a natural unidirectivity and a lift electrode (300) disposed between the electrode fingers, wherein the finger are so arranged in the direction of propagation of the surface acoustic wave that the width of the fingers is about μl/8 a, the interval between the centers of the fingers is about 6/8μ, the distance g between the center of the positive electrode finger and the center of the lift electrode is 13/40μ/≤g≤14/40μ, and the width W of the lift electrode is 11/40μ≤W≤13/40μ where l is the wavelength of the surface acoustic wave.</p> |
