The cartridge (2) is enclosed by a packing container (1) composed of two specifically fiber composite half sleeves (7,8) joined where they face by two hinges (11,12) on their opposite sides by two locking devices (15), specifically toggle belts or straps. In the forward part (6), elastic clamping shells (17,18) are fixed to the respective half sleeve (7,8) and the wall thickness of the shells (17,18) is such as to produce a friction connection between front part (6) and container (1) when the cartridge is in. The two hinges (11,12) are arranged on the front part (6) and cartridge case base (4) and the locking devices (15,16) lie on the other sides (13,14) of the half sleeves (7,8) opposite the hinges. In addition to the clamping shells (17,18) further shells can be arranged at the cartridge base (4) to connect this by friction to the container (1) when packed.
