A pulse oximeter (1) has an oxygen saturation sensor (2) as a finger sensor for measuring oxygen saturation, a movement sensor (6) coupled to it and a body sensor (10) connected on. For the finger sensor a finger is penetrated with radiation by an infrared diode (4). Absorption of infrared light changed by pulsing arterial blood is detected in an evaluation circuit (8) and used as a measure for oxygen saturation.
